About the NTMA
The NTMA is a State body which operates with a commercial remit to provide asset and liability
management services to Government. It has evolved from a single function agency managing the
National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.
Businesses managed by the NTMA include:
➢ borrowing for the Exchequer and management of the National Debt;
➢ the State Claims Agency;
➢ NewERA;
➢ the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund; and
➢ the National Development Finance Agency; and
➢ the Future Ireland Funds business unit with responsibility for the management of the Future
Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund.
The NTMA also provides staff and business support services to:
➢ the National Asset Management Agency;
➢ the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland; and
➢ Home Building Finance Ireland.
Our NTMA Associate Programme:
This is an exciting opportunity for talented and motivated graduates to join the NTMA on a 24-month
Associate Programme commencing in September 2025. The programme is now open to graduates
with a degree in an array of disciplines such as Corporate Finance, Business, Accountancy, Law,
Project Management, Risk and HR. We have opportunities in the following business units and
divisions: FIF, SBCI, ISIF, NDFA, NewERA, HR, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Enterprise Risk.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of a 2.1 honors degree or a minimum of a 2.1 Masters,
ideally in a related discipline.
